Proud moment for the empowered women of Barangay Luz as they actively participated in a meaningful tree-planting activity held at the Cebu City Eco-Park last March 8, 2026, in celebration of International Women’s Month.
Led by Former Cebu City Councilor Nida Cabrera, the initiative gathered women from the community to plant fruit-bearing and endemic trees, contributing to environmental sustainability and strengthening the city’s green initiatives.
This activity was conducted in coordination with the Cebu City Environment and Natural Resources Office and the Eco-Park team, in support of the 256K Tree Planting Program, one of the flagship environmental campaigns of Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival.
Indeed, this is a powerful reminder that when communities unite—especially empowered women—every tree planted nurtures a greener and more sustainable Cebu. 🌿💚
