Barangay Luz, Cebu City – On August 3, 2026, the Barangay Council, headed by Kap. Titing Labrador, successfully conducted a canal declogging operation in Sitio San Roque as part of its continuing commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and flood-resilient community under the chairmanship of Hon. Rommel Tuico.
The activity focused on clearing drainage canals of accumulated debris and other obstructions to ensure the proper flow of water, particularly during the rainy season. This initiative aims to reduce the risk of flooding while promoting a cleaner and healthier environment for residents.
The Barangay also acknowledged the support and participation of the council members, particularly Hon. Andrew C. Ponce, Hon. Josephine Son, Hon. Mark Guerra, and Hon. Yons Roble, together with volunteers and residents who joined the activity. Their collective efforts reflect the true spirit of bayanihan in working toward a safer and more resilient community.
