The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Luz proudly participated in TreebYOUTH for Kalikopan, a citywide mangrove planting initiative held as one of the pre-launching activities for the SK Federation of Cebu City’s Buwan sa Kabatan-onang Sugbuanon 2026.
This meaningful initiative brought together young leaders from across Cebu City with a shared commitment to environmental stewardship, climate resilience, and the protection of coastal ecosystems. Through the planting of mangroves, the youth took an active role in preserving biodiversity, mitigating the effects of climate change, and promoting sustainable communities for future generations.
As advocates of meaningful youth participation, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Luz remains steadfast in supporting programs that empower young people to become responsible environmental stewards and catalysts for positive change.
Together, we continue to prove that every tree planted is a step toward a greener, more resilient, and sustainable Cebu City.
